Rock, Paddle, Surf Kayak Coaching’s Cold Water Immersion Workshop 

The program aims to educate participants about preparing for and managing the effects of cold-water exposure and immersion.  Those attending will participate in discussions, hands-on activities, and scenarios covering the actions to take in dealing with exposure to cold water. Topics will include understanding the "cold shock" response, "cold incapacitation," available equipment and their uses, the importance of layering and wearing a life jacket, trip planning, etc.  This workshop is ideal for anyone involved in watersports.
